Is your child interested in music? Always singing and dancing? Do you think your child has talent for all things musical? Or maybe you just want to introduce your kids to music and the idea of playing it themselves. If that is the case, read on.

The Howland Chamber Music Circle and the Howland Cultural Center are presenting their annual Instrument Discovery Children's Concert this Saturday, Sept. 9, from 3 - 4 pm at the Cultural Center at 477 Main Street in Beacon. And, believe it or not, it is free. The program will begin with an instrument petting zoo where students can handle various instruments. This will be followed by performances by area musicians demonstrating many of the instruments. It's sure to be both fun and educational. Maybe you will discover that your child has a musician hiding inside.

The program is appropriate for children of all ages, especially those who are looking to choose an instrument to study in school. Even though it is a free event, reservations are recommended. Visit the website for more info and to reserve your spot.
