Tune in for the WPDH Album of the Week this Sunday at 11PM. We'll be bringing you The Pretenders 'Learning to Crawl' in its entirety, start to finish.

The Pretenders third album Learning to Crawl was released in 1984 on Sire Records. It was released after the band was on hiatus after the passing of band members James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon due to drug overdoses. The album hit the top 5 of the Billboard 200 album chart and several singles were released including "Back on the Chain Gang", "My City Was Gone", and "Middle of the Road". The album's title was a nod to Chrissie Hynde's then-infant daughter who had just started crawling at the time that Chrissie was trying to come up with a name for the album.
