WPDH Album of the Week: Aerosmith ‘Rocks’

Released on May 3, 1976, Rocks was a commercial success with singles "Last Child", "Rats in the Cellar", and "Back in the Saddle". The album was one of the first to ship platinum when it was released and it has since gone quadruple platinum. It was also an album that was very influential to many hard rock and heavy metal artists like Guns N' Roses and Metallica. A review of Rocks by AllMusic described the album as capturing Aerosmith at their most raw and rocking."
