Woman Attempted to Smuggle Drugs Into Prison, Police Say
A woman from the Bronx was arrested after she attempted to enter a correctional facility with multiple drugs.
November 3, Diana Guzman, 48 of the Bronx was arrested after an investigation revealed that she attempted introduce approximately 18.3 grams of synthetic marijuana, and 85 sublingual suboxone strips into Fishkill Correctional Facility.
The controlled substances were hidden in black balloons on Guzman's person. She was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, or $10,000 bond.
She was scheduled to return to court this week.
