If you're like me, when you woke up this morning, you wondered where the snow was and thought that maybe today wouldn't be so bad. I was wrong, and we certainly know where the snow is now.

We had been under a Winter Weather Advisory, but just a short time ago the National Weather Service upgraded us to a Winter Storm Warning until 1 am tomorrow, Friday, January 5.

We could see blizzard-like conditions throughout the afternoon and into this evening with white-out conditions possible. We could see heavy snow and with wind gusts up to 55 MPH, making travel difficult along with the potential of power outages due to downed trees and power lines.

According to this latest weather statement, we could now see anywhere from 8 to 12 inches of snow with this storm with snowfall rates from one to three inches per hour at times.

If you don't need to go anywhere, please stay home and off the roads. If you do need to travel, please allow extra travel time and remember that you can check road conditions by calling 511.
