The search continues for a West Point cadet who has gone missing from the campus and possibly armed.

According to the Army Times, both military police and the New York State Police are currently searching for a West Point cadet who has been believed to be missing since Saturday morning. It was reported that he was last seen on Friday evening. The search continued through Sunday with no luck in finding the cadet who is set to graduate in 2021.

To add to the concern, an M4 rifle was also reported to be missing from the campus as well. However, there is no evidence that he has a magazine or ammunition to fire rifle.

The cadet is believed to not be a threat to others but maybe to himself.

West Point has heightened its security but is operating under normal practices.

Anyone with information on the cadet is urged to contact the West Point Military Police at 845-938-3333.
