A Wappingers Falls couple was followed by cameras for a year to help tell the story of their quest for a family.

Kerri and Chris Morgan from Wappingers Falls were married in 2016. Just a few months later, Kerri was diagnosed with fertility issues that would make it difficult for her to get pregnant. This was the beginning of a three-year struggle filled with many ups and downs that eventually led to the birth of their son.

ABC News followed the Morgans for a year as they participated in an unsuccessful try at in-vitro fertilization. After the failed attempt the couple stumbled across embryo adoption, which allowed them to eventually have a chance at parenthood. Good Morning America shared their story on Tuesday for National Infertility Awareness Week.

The Morgans attended Hudson Valley Fertility Clinic in Fishkill, where one of the embryos was successfully transferred. Nine months later, the couple welcomed baby Bryan Luke to their family. Kerri and Chris plan on eventually introducing their son to his biological brothers. The embryo donors have five and two-year-old sons.

For now, Morgans are happy in their Star Wars themed nursery in Wappingers Falls as they begin life together as a family. You can watch more of their journey in a documentary called Modern Baby that premieres on Hulu this week.
