Two Hudson Valley Men Charged With Sexual Abuse
Two men from the Hudson Valley are accused of sexually abusing children.
On Wednesday, New York State Police from Monroe arrested Joshua Vitek, 28, of Highland Falls. An investigation revealed Vitek was involved with a sexual relationship with a person less than 15 years old, police say.
Vitek was charged with sexual abuse, criminal sexual act, predatory sexual act against a child, and two counts of rape, all felonies.
Vitek was remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.
On Monday, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Alex Ramos-Hernandez, 27, of Pawling, in connection with a recent investigation by Sheriff’s Office Detectives along with the Child Advocacy Center.
Ramos-Hernandez is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with an unnamed victim. The victim is known to Ramos-Hernandez, and at this time there doesn’t appear to be a threat to public safety, police say. Authorities wouldn't release more information about the victim or their investigation.
Ramos-Hernandez was charged with sexaul abuse, a felony.
