Tompkins Community Bank is congratulating a Hudson Valley veteran who has been named a WPDH Vet Who Rocks.

This month Tyrus Scott will receive $500 and become eligible for a $10,000 reward to be handed out to one Hudson Valley Veteran on Veteran's Day. He was nominated to be a Vet Who Rocks by Abby Gallagher who shared his Tyrus' story with us.

A father of three kids under the age of four, Tyrus works seven days a week to provide for his family while striving to open his own business. This former Marine has also remained in contact with many of his fellow veterans, checking in on them. Tyrus is passionate about mental health after losing many of his fellow Marines to suicide. The well-being of other vets is a huge part of Tyrus' life. This month's Vet Who Rocks continues to serve the community and protect his fellow servicemen, long after his military career has ended.
