Once thought to be the savior of the franchise, the Matt Harvey ear in New York is no more.

CBS is reporting that the troubled pitcher was traded to the Cincinnati Reds for catcher Davin Mesoraco.

Harvey has struggled this year with a 7.00 ERA in four starts. Injuries have plagued Harvey over the past two seasons. In 2016, Harvey underwent surgery to correct thoracic outlet syndrome. Compare this to 2015, when he was 13-8 with 2.71 ERA...not to mention a trip to the World Series.

This year, he was removed from the starting rotation and even refused a demotion to the minors.
