In some very exciting news, Super Troopers 2 is apparently done filming and editing.

On Wednesday, Kevin Heffernan, who plays Farva in the film, posted to the Broken Lizard website to inform fans that the sequel is in post-production and awaiting a release date.

In 2015, the boys turned to fans for help to fund the movie, and a  Indiegogo campaign was launched for funding. The campaign was a success as it collected more than $4 million.

The initial goal was $2 million.

In the announcement Heffernan said:

Next step: We await our release date. Fox Searchlight has reviewed the finished product and will soon inform us of the plan. When we have the release date you will be the first to know. That's when trailers, posters and all the promo materials will launch. It's painful to wait for this process because we're dying to share this film with you, but each step takes us closer. Again, we could not have done this without you and we thank you for all of your help

It has been 16 years since 'Super Troopers' debuted, and it has since become a cult classic.

I think we speak for everybody when we say "we want a trailer right meow!"
