Sons of Italy Italian Festival This Weekend at the East Fishkill Rec

Fried dough, Italian food being served from under the tent, and a carload of giant stuffed animals and balloon art, sounds like Memorial Day Weekend in Hopewell Junction!

Celebrate the holiday this weekend with the 31st annual Sons of Italy Italian Festival at the East Fishkill Rec in Hopewell Junction.  Festivities are underway already, with gates opening tonight at 6pm and running through the weekend (Friday 6-10pm, Saturday and Sunday 3-10pm).

The 'festa' - as most locals call it - has been a tradition for many years and is a family friendly event that offers food, rides, games, entertainment, and even fireworks on Sunday night, and is hosted by the Joe DiMaggio Lodge 2248.  Children's activities scheduled for the weekend include a clown on Saturday and the Bubble Bus on Sunday, those in addition to the rides and games that are open all weekend.

I don't know about you, but stopping by the festa is an annual family tradition for us, can't kick off the season without it!
