Warby Parker, a company known for their innovative approach to glasses, is planning on bringing jobs to the Hudson Valley.

Called the "Netflix of Eyewear" by GQ, the company began as a way for people to order glasses online and avoid paying the markup of retail stores. Customers would receive up to five different frames to try on and then order the one of their choosing, all of which are designed by the Warby Parker company, ostensibly at a lower price.

“Today’s announcement that eye glass company Warby Parker will be adding 128 new jobs in Rockland County is tremendous news for New York and brings into sharp focus just how talented the Hudson Valley workforce is. Over the last several months, I’ve worked closely with New York State and Warby Parker to make this project a reality, and today’s announcement is the culmination of that vision. Warby Parker is a strong and growing New York company and today’s news only expands on their New York commitment”

According to the Associated Press, the lab will cost $15 million.
