Over 80,000 Hard Hats Recalled

The hard hats are being recalled due to risk of head injury.

According to News 10, the company Honeywell is recalling three types of hard hats made over the last two years because they may fail to protect users from impact.

This recall involves a variety of Honeywell hard hats including the type 1 Fibre-Metal E2 and North Peak A79 hard hats with the manufacture date of April 2016, May 2016, December 2017 or January 2018. The North Peak A79 hard hats were manufactured from April 2016 through January 2018.

The hard hats including in the recall were sold at industrial protective equipment distributors nationwide in their stores and online at sites like Amazon and others from April 2016 through January 2018 for between $7 and $21.

If you find that you have one of the recalled hard hats you are advised to immediately stop using the recalled hard hats and to contact Honeywell for a product credit or voucher equal to the purchase price.
