You know how sometimes you'll be eating a snack and you'll notice that the box is a lot bigger than the amount of food that's inside it, and it's kind of annoying? Well, a few New Yorkers think it's more than kind of annoying, and they're willing to go to court over it.

Tootsie Roll Industries, the company behind Junior Mints, is facing a federal lawsuit for putting too much air in the box and not enough candy. Yeah, for real. The lawsuit was filed in October by Biola Daniel from Manhattan, who said that air made up about 40% of a box she had purchased. Abel Duran of Queens has since joined the lawsuit, saying that his box was only 77% filled with candy. Where they are getting the exact percentages to measure the candy-to-air ratio, I can not say.

I imagine being the judge and presiding over this case, and not being able to help eye-rolling every two minutes. I mean, listen, I want more bang for my buck and am totally onboard with stuffing as many Junior Mints into a box as you can, but this seems like a lawsuit from people with way too much time on their hands.

Besides, the only Junior Mint-related lawsuit should be directed towards Jerry Seinfeld and Cosmo Kramer for dropping one of the very refreshing candies in a patient during surgery. True, the patient made a miraculous recovery, but still, this seems more important.
