Famed toy store, FAO Schwarz is back and opening up shop in Newburgh just in time for the holiday shopping season. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place this Saturday, with free toys for the first 25 kids.

Back in 2015 the toy giant closed the doors of their iconic flagship location in New York City. The brand was owned by Toys R Us, who was struggling with their own stores at the time. Eventually the brand was sold off to a new company who have decided to resurrect the 155-year-old brand.

According to Consumerist, 186 new FAO Schwarz locations will be opening up on November 8. The shops will be located inside already established department stores, one of them being Bon Ton at the Newburgh Mall.

Exclusive toys and that giant piano will be available to play with and purchase starting Saturday morning. And before you think this is just some sort of pop-up promotional stunt, FAO Schwarz has announced that the stores will be permanent and open year-round.

What do you think about FAO Schwarz opening up a Hudson Valley location? Will you go and shop at the toy store, or just check it out with the kids? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below or on our Facebook page.
