A Hudson Valley man grabbed a piece of history at Yankee Stadium.

On Monday at Yankee Stadium, Yankee slugger Aaron Judge hit two home runs to lead New York past Kansas City 11-3.

The two home runs were Judges 49th and 50th of his rookie season. His 50th blast, broke Mark McGwire's rookie record of 49 home runs set in 1987.

On the other end of Judge’s milestone home run, Dan Zlotnick of Somers.

“So I just caught Aaron Judge's 50th home run ball. Woah,” Zlotnick wrote on Twitter.

Zlotnick attended Somers High School and played college baseball locally at Marist.

Zlotnick was at Yankee Stadium with Marist baseball head coach Chris Tracz and former Red Fox teammate Stephen Laurino to watch another former Red Fox teammate, Kevin McCarthy, who’s now a pitcher for the Kansas City Royals.

Zlotnick was seated above McCarthy and the Royals bullpen, in the bleachers, when Judge hit his historic home run.

After the game, Zlotnick gave Judge the ball.

"For those wondering if I will sell @TheJudge44 's 50th HR ball, absolutely not. It's his. Congratulations to him," he wrote on Twitter.

Zlotnick, an aspiring musician, also tweeted that Judge would be walking out to his song, “Power of Lines” for the rest of the season.

After the game, Zlotnick got to meet and pose for photos with Judge. He later tweeted and called the Yankee rookie a “great guy.”
