You may want to visit this Hudson Valley restaurant while you can still get reservations. Their head chef says she's headed back to the Food Network soon for a special champions edition of "Chopped".

Chef Dafna Mizrahi from Monte's Local Kitchen and Taproom in Amenia kicked some serious butt on the Thanksgiving episode of "Chopped." During an interview with The Boris & Robyn Show on Monday Mizrahi revealed that she is now going back on the show, this time as a champion.

In fact, Mizrahi's championship episode has already been filmed, even before her incredible first appearance aired. It looks like fine-tuned culinary training and an abundance of confidence is paving the way to success for this 23-year-old executive chef.

Mizrahi says for now she's concentrating on her restaurant in Dutchess County and helping to elevate what's happening in our community. If that somehow leads to a career in television, however, Chef Dafna says that she's certainly open to the opportunity.

In the days following her debut episode of "Chopped" Mizrahi says that reservations for Monte's have been quickly filling up. If you want to experience the food that made her a "champion" you can grab a reservation at Monte’s Local Kitchen and Taproom or plan to attend the restaurant's one year anniversary celebration. Mizrahi will be in attendance, posing for photos and greeting customers during the winter block party scheduled for December 12. Festivities include giveaways, pony rides, tree lighting and cocktails.
