Hot weather is forecasted for the Hudson Valley into next week.  The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon on Saturday till 10pm on Monday night.  They say expect heat index values of 95 to 100 on Saturday and 100 to 100 on Sunday and Monday as temperatures climb into the upper 90’s.  The dewpoints will be in the upper 60’s to mid-70’s, so it will be humid.

With heat indexes that high, it may impact outdoor events.  With the heat advisory, a combination of hot temperatures and high humidity could cause heat illness.  Drink plenty of fluids, wear loose fitting clothing and stay in an air-conditioned room out of the sun.  We won’t see a break until Tuesday with this weather as weak cold front tries to battle this weather.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Saturday:  Sunny and hot, high near 95.  Heat index values as hot as 98.

Saturday night:  Clear skies, low around 71.

Sunday:  Sunny and hot, high near 98.  Heat index values as hot as 106.

Monday:  Sunny and hot, high near 96.  Chance of an afternoon shower and thunderstorm.
