Today is Robert Plant's 71st birthday. You have to hand it to Robert Plant. He has managed to reinvent himself over and over, and it seems he is good at no matter what he does. Which is nice because it has given us years of great music.

I have never seen Led Zepplin in concert, but I have been lucky enough to see Robert Plant a couple of times. The first time was with Jimmy Page in the late 1990s during the Walking Into Clarksdale Tour. It was pretty amazing. Lots of Led Zeppelin, and they were both in top form. The second time I saw Robert Plant was at Mountain Jam a few years back. Maybe a few more than a few. Anyway, he did lots of Zeppelin at that show too, and lots of new material. Once again a stellar performance.

In honor of Robert's birthday, I'm including one of my all time favorite Led Zeppelin songs. Happy Birthday, Robert Plant. Thanks for bringing me and so many others a lifetime of great rock and roll.
