Dutchess County Sheriff Working to Re-Elect Trump

A local sheriff has been named a member of Trump's re-election campaign.

Sheriff Adrian "Butch" Anderson from Dutchess County is one of six New Yorkers who were just named as honorary chairs of the Trump 2020 campaign team. According to Syracuse.com, Anderson, a longtime Trump supporter and friend, is joining other Republicans to advance the Trump agenda and help elect GOP candidates throughout the state.

The Dutchess County sheriff also served as honorary chair of Trump's 2016 campaign, introducing him at a rally at the Mid Hudson Civic Center.  That year Hillary Clinton won among Dutchess County residents, beating out Trump by just under 1,000 votes.

Other New Yorkers named as honorary chairs of the Trump campaign include upstate representatives Elise Stefanik and Tom Reed; Peter King and Lee Zeldin from Long Island and New York City Council member Joe Borelli.
