The Dutchess County Fair announced today that if you bought a ride voucher for the "10 rides for $20" there is a small glitch in their program and you will need to take an extra step next week when you get to the fair. The Fair announced via their Facebook page that they had planned to use a new system this year but unfortunately it isn't working as planned.

If you purchased a voucher for rides where you get "10 rides for $20" from any area outlet you will to redeem the voucher at the fair before you enjoy the rides. The vouchers are valid, but you will need to turn them in at the fair next week when it opens for actual ride tickets. Below is the statement the fair issued explaining what you will need to do in order to change in the voucher for ride tickets.

From Dutchess County Fair Facebook Post: "We thought we were ready to implement the new ride system but we have hit a couple of bumps in the road. If you have a ride voucher (10 Rides for $20), beginning next week, Tuesday opening day of the Fair, you can bring the voucher to the carnival midway Guest Relations booth or the Fairgrounds Administration Office where your voucher will be scanned and you will be given the sheet of ride tickets as you have done so in the past. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We will see you at the Fair!"

The 174th Dutchess County Fair opens next Tuesday August 20th and runs through Sunday August 25th at the Dutchess County Fair grounds in Rhinebeck New York. The fair is open daily 10 AM to 10 PM.

Important information if you have tickets for the Dutchess County Fair rides next week that you purchased in advance.
