Dutchess County Man Charged For Sexual Act With Minor

New York State Police say an 18-year-old Amenia man engaged in sexual conduct with a minor.

New York State Police from Dover Plains says Michael Azzarito engaged in sexual conduct with a child who was less than 15-year-old. A State Police Investigator from the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center was assigned to assist the Dover Plains barracks with a reported sexual offense.

Azzarito was charged with 2nd-degree criminal sexual act, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Azzarito was arraigned in the Town of Dover Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Dover Justice Court at a later date and time.
