Credit Union Announces Moving Date of Local Branch
A local credit union will be closing down an old branch and opening up a new one. There will be a period during the transition where some services will be unavailable to customers.
The Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is finishing up work on their new Poughkeepsie branch on Route 9. Once it's complete, customers will no longer be able to use the old branch on IBM Road.
According to an announcement from the HVCU, the new branch will officially open on Monday, January 22. The building on the corner of Route 9 and IBM Road will have the same hours and services as the old branch, including drive-up and lobby ATMs and two drive-up tellers.
In order to move to the new location, services will be closed down at the old location before they begin at the new one. Starting on Friday, January 12 drive-up tellers will no longer be available at the old location. Anyone who needs the assistance of a teller will need to go into the old location or visit a different branch.
The old IBM Road branch will officially close at Noon on Saturday, January 20. On the same day, the lobby ATMs will also be made unavailable. The drive-up ATM will still be made available during this time.
