A charity sporting event between the NYPD and the FDNY turned into quite the fiasco Sunday on Coney Island.

The ironically titled Fun City Bowl was a charity football game pitting New York City's Bravest and Finest against each other. This was the 44th meeting of the first responders.

The NYPD ended up winning 29-13 but it's the post-game ruckus that's getting all the attention.

Video footage shows both teams gathering near mid-field for the post-game handshake and congratulations. Instead of pleasantries, a fight breaks out. Players from both sides can be seen getting knocked to the turf as other participates attempt to break up the fight.

Well, it's the thought that counts even if both sides got a little testy. Money from the charity game goes to go to the NYPD's Widows' & Children's Fund and the FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation, so that's a good thing.

This isn't the first time this has happened. A charity hockey match between the tense rivals turned into a big fight at Nassau Coliseum in 2014, when both sides went at it near the benches.
