It is winter in New York, so it comes as no surprise that this week brings a chance of snow and more subzero temperatures for the area.

The Polar Vortex we all hear so much about the news is expected to make another deep dip in to the northeast U.S., which means more dangerously cold temperatures are not far behind. Highs Monday will be in the 30s, with lows in 20s.

A chance of snow arrives by Monday night into Tuesday, with some light accumulation possible. Right now, it doesn't look like there's anything too significant as far as snow goes. However temperatures are expected to plunge by Wednesday night with lows near zero. highs Thursday are only forecasted to reach the 10s, with lows below zero.

Friday will be slightly warmer with highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits.

Stay warm this week!
