Beloved Hudson Valley Store Closing After 20 Years
Loyal customers are mourning the closure of a beloved Hudson Valley store.
A message on Facebook has caused quite a stir. After serving the Hudson Valley for two decades, a store has abruptly announced that they would be liquidating their assets and closing their doors forever. The Just A Buck store at the Hannaford Shopping Plaza in Wappingers Falls announced the news to customers and employees earlier this month.
Comments from customers ranged from sadness to nostalgia. Candi Rosado-Dominguez writes, "I love this store, even living states away I still come up to shop there and the Poughkeepsie location. I love this store more than all the dollar trees in the world." Dana J. Brozman also chimed in, "Sad to hear this as well. Your store offered certain things that other dollar stores didn't. I have shopped there the entire time you are open; you will be sadly missed in that location."
The message from Just A Buck says:
To our valued customers...
We are saddened to announce we will be closing our business at this location in the coming weeks. Only this location will close, all other Just A Buck locations will remain open including our store located at the Poughkeepsie Plaza Mall next to Marshall's. We hope to see you enjoying our closeouts and special bous at our Poughkeepsie location in the near future.
Thank you for supprting us for almost two decades in Wappingers Falls, it has been our pleasure to serve you.
The announcement also states that the store will no longer be able to honor any coupon cards or make any exchanges. All sales will be final during the clearance sale.
