
Arrest Made in Kiryas Joel Robbery, Police Say
An arrest has been made in connection to the robbery that took place in Kiryas Joel in June of 2019.
The State Police investigated a robbery that took place on June 20, 2019 at approximately 5:15 pm in Kiryas Joel, NY.
The subject is described as a Black or Hispanic male, with a thin beard, wearing a dark baseball cap with an NYPD logo on it and a blue t-shirt with an NYPD logo on it. The subject fled the area in a black Nissan, 4 door sedan, in an unknown direction.
On January 15, 2020, New York State Police Monroe arrested Jean Ysabel-Guerrero, 30, of the Bronx, N.Y. for robbery first-degree (felony) and criminal possession of a weapon fourth-degree (misdemeanor) for a robbery in the village of Kiryas Joel on June 20, 2019.
He was arraigned in the Village of Goshen Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 secured bond. He is due to to appear in in the Town of Monroe Court at a later date.
An Order of Protection was issued for the victim.
