All’s Fair In The Hudson Valley

Summertime in The Hudson Valley means hot days, delicious produce, great swimming holes, and county fairs!  The Orange County Fair is going on right now in Middletown.  That's the county fair I remember going to as a teen, having grown up in New Windsor.  The Ulster County Fair in New Paltz kicks off Tuesday July 29, and runs through Sunday August 3.

My favorite county fair is The Dutchess County Fair.  I got to broadcast my radio show from the fair for years, and it was one of my favorite events of the summer.  From the meat parfaits at Elia's to the local tomato salads, to a refreshing cold beer at Foster's, I love just about everything about The Dutchess County Fair.  This year it runs from August 19 through August 24...Look for me...I'll be there!
