2 Cars Stolen in Dutchess County, Police Seek Answers
Police are searching for witnesses who may have seen two cars get stolen over the weekend in Dutchess County.
New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie Barracks are investigating the theft of two motor vehicles. Both cars were reported to police Sunday morning. Police believe both cars were taken around 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.
One vehicle, a 2006 gray Volkswagen Jetta, was taken from a driveway on Salt Point Turnpike in the Town of Stanford, police say. The gray Volkswagen Jetta was parked at a home just north of the Town of Clinton line.
The other vehicle, a 2010 light gray Toyota Camry, was taken from a driveway located on Talleur Lane, according to New York State Police.
State Police urge anyone who may have witnessed either incident to contact State Police Poughkeepsie Bureau of Criminal Investigation at (845) 677-7379. Additionally, anyone with home surveillance camera systems that may have captured either incident should call State Police in Poughkeepsie at the above phone number.
Residents are advised to not leave keys in any vehicles that are unattended and unlocked.
