Are you a Harry Potter fan, or do you know a Harry Potter fan? I must admit, when I saw that there was going to be a Yule Ball in late January, I thought it was a little too late for the holiday season. And then I found out it's a Harry Potter thing.

For those of you that love Harry Potter, head to the Newburgh Free Library at 124 Grand Street in Newburgh this Saturday, Jan. 26, from noon - 3 pm for a Yule Ball Harry Potter celebration. You will be doing crafts, getting sorted, and watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Wear your wizarding robes or your best fancy dress. Open to muggles and magical beings of all ages.

Hagrid's Army will be collecting clean, empty, returnable bottles to raise money for a local charity organization. For every 3 empty bottles you bring, you will receive 1 raffle ticket to enter to win one of the Harry Potter themed raffles. Bottles must be family friendly, clean and indicate that it is $.05 deposit/returnable in New York.
