Tune in for the WPDH Album of the Week this Sunday at 11PM. We’ll be bringing you Rick Derringer 'All American Boy' in its entirety, start to finish.

Rick Derringer got started in the 1960's with the band The McCoys who had a number one hit with 'Hang on Sloopy'. He eventually turned to blues rock and had a hit with 'Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo' in 1974 with the album All American Boy. AllMusic called All American Boy "Rick Derringer's most focused and cohesive album, a marvelous blend of rockers, ballads, and atmospheric instrumentals." They also called it "one of the great albums of the 70's that fell between the cracks."
