Billy Squier released his second studio album Don't Say No in April of 1981 on Capitol Records. The album featured the hit singles "The Stroke", "In the Dark", "Lonely is the Night", and "Everybody Wants You". All the songs were big rock radio hits and the music videos were all over the new MTV network. The album went Gold by July of 1981, and Platinum two months later. It would eventually be certified Triple Platinum in the U.S. for sales of over three million.
