TV Crew Saves Castaway After Spotting Him on Deserted Island

The crew of 'River Monsters', an Animal Planet show discovered something they did not expect when filming off the coast of Australia. 

While searching for a "giant grouper" in the waters of Barranyi North Island off the coast of Australia. The 'River Monsters' crew along with host Jeremy Wade were experiencing choppy waters, so they decided to move locations. It was then that they spotted something unexpected.

While approaching the coast, the crew noticed a man run out of a cave wearing just a pair of shorts, and waving his arms. The crew was under the impression that the island was deserted.

The man they found was an experienced fisherman, who ventured from his boat to find better oysters. He was stranded on the island for 60 hours, during which his body was beaten by the harsh conditions. The average temperature on the island is 110 degrees.
