Trooper Injured Following Domestic Dispute in Ulster County

An Ulster County man is facing felony charges after he allegedly resisted arrest following a domestic dispute.

On February 6, Lloyd Police responded to a call of a reported domestic dispute. Once on the scene, police arrested Micheal Pappas, 27, of Highland.

Pappas is accused of slashing a tire a another person's vehicle during the dispute. Pappas also allegedly injured a state tropper who was assisting Lloyd Police in placing him under arrest.

The trooper was treated and released from a local hospital with a shoudler injury.

Pappas was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and obstruction of governmental administration.

Pappas was arraigned and remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail. He is due back in court later this month.
