Hudson Valley Head-On Crash Leaves 2 Hospitalized
Duthcess County Police are investigating a head-on collision on Route 82 in Dutchess County that left both drivers seriously injured.
The Daily Freeman reports Deborah Miller of Ancram was traveling southbound on Route 82 around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The 55-year-old's Volvo V70 crossed the center pavement marking and struck a 2007 Toyota Prius driven by Neal Murphy, 54, of Avon, Conn.
Miller was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. Murphy was brought to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie with non-life threatening injuries.
Dutchess County Sheriff’s deputies say both drivers had to be extracted from their vehicles. Neither car had any passengers. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
