Selena Gomez, Bill Murray’s Movie Filmed In Hudson Valley Breaks Record
Selena Gomez and Bill Murray have been spotted filming in the local area recently.
A press release from the Hudson Valley Film Commission, a movie starring Bill Murray and Selena Gomez that was filmed in the Hudson Valley-Catskills region recently broke a record for the amount of revenue brought in by it. Revenue brought into the region by this film and others will surpass $15 million for the months of July and August this year.
According to the press release, this is the busiest quarter of the entire 19-year span of the Hudson Valley film commission. For comparison, in 2016, $9 million in revenue was generated by film productions in the Hudson Valley. The proximity to New York City and the beauty of the region are no doubt reasons for the boom in celebrities working and living here.
Selena Gomez, Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Elizabeth Moss, Steve Buscemi, and plenty of other actors are working on a comedy zombie film called The Dead Don't Die. The cast was spotted in Ulster and Delaware Counties.
