Red Hot Chilli Pipers Performing In Middletown Sunday
Red Hot Chilli Pipers are set for a rare Hudson Valley appearance this Sunday, March 6 in Middletown.
Celtic rockers Red Hot Chilli Pipers from Scotland formed in 2002 and became a global phenomenon after winning a BBC talent show contest in 2007. The band's lineup features three highland bagpipers and a traditional marching snare backed by a 5 to 7 piece band.
"Bagrock"
Since forming, the band has combined guitars, keyboards, drums, and bagpipes to create 'bagrock' sound. The band performs a fusion of traditional pipe tunes and contemporary pieces, with notable covers including "We Will Rock You" by Queen, "Clocks" by Coldplay, "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple, "Don't Stop Believing by Journey, and AC/DC's "Thunderstruck".
