A Columbia County woman was arrested after police found her parked partially on the Taconic State Parkway. 

On March 17, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Troopers on patrol found vehicle parked partially in the roadway on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Lagrange.

After interviewing the operator of the vehicle, identified as Katherine A. Bauer, 36, of Hudson, N.Y., a strong odor of marijuana was detected.

Further investigation found approximately 5.4 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms and over 3 grams of marijuana.

Bauer was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance second-degree, a class A-II felony, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

She was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.

Bauer is scheduled to return to court this week.
