A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Orange County Friday morning. 

At approximately 7:25 a.m. Friday morning, City of Newburgh police officers responded to the area of Ann Street and S. Johnston Street for a reported motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Ann Street, and struck a pedestrian crossing Ann Street from North to South.

The pedestrian was taken to St. Luke's Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The pedestrian's name is being withheld at this time. The vehicle was a private vehicle and the driver is not a City of Newburgh employee.
