Police: Intoxicated Man Causes Power Outage in Ulster County
A man drove off the roadway, hitting a utility pole causing a power outage in Ulster County.
Saugerties Police responded to a 911 responded to a 911 call on SR 9w in the hamlet of West Camp, for a vehcle that had ran off the roadway, hitting a utility pole.
Further investigation revealed that the operator, David S. Piskacek, 21, of Saugerties was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition.
A chemical test resulted in a BAC of .14%.
A passenger in Piskacek's vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash, and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The crash further resulted in a power outage in the area.
Piskacek was taken into custody and processed at police headquarters. He was processed and released to a third party,
He is due in Saugerties Court at a later date to answer to his charges.
