Police: 16-Year Old Charged With Possessing Child Porn

A Columbia County teen has been charged with possessing child porn. 

A male 16-year old from Philmont, NY has been arrested and charged with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.

The teens arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. The teen was found to possess pornographic images depicting children.

The ICAC is a multiagency task force that combats the sexual exploitation of children via the internet.

The teen was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court, and released on his own recognizance.

Due to the age of the defendant, his name and mugshot are not being released.
