If you've always wanted to shop for books while drinking a beer, the area's latest bar hybrid is for you.

Just this week the Vinyl Room opened in the Village of Wappingers Falls. The novelty of a record store that doubles as a bar has curious customers stopping by to check out this unique spot.

Well, now another business is adding alcohol to an unlikely shopping destination: the bookstore.

Rough Draft is scheduled to open this November in Kingston.According to their website, the new spot will be "dedicated to providing the best New York State beer, cider, and wine, a curated selection of books of all kinds, and a place for people from Kingston and beyond to come together for reading, drinking, conversation, and nightly events."

The bar's Instagram account announced that owners Amanda and Anthony Stromoski were only one permit away from getting the business up and running. Rough Draft has already scheduled some unique events that shows just how diverse this business will be.

There will be trivia nights every Wednesday where customers can compete for cash and other prizes. Story night will take place on the second Thursday of each month. The special event allows to share five-minute stories about weekly topics. Winners selected by the audience for being the best storytellers of the evening will win prizes.

There will also be viewing parties for popular television shows such as "The Walking Dead" with specials on books and draft beer that fall within the theme of the show.

Rough Draft will be opening on November 1 on the corner of Crown Street and John Street in the Stockade District of Kingston.
