A man from Monticello was charged with felony DWI.

He is being accused of driving drunk with an infant in the car, according to New York State Police.

The man was driving a 1999 Audi on Rt.17, when he was stopped by Troopers for failing to stay in his lane.

The driver, Dhimiter Bibaj, 42, was found under the influence upon being stopped, police said. Not only was he drunk, he had a improperly restrained 9-month baby in the vehicle with him, according to officers. His blood alcohol content was .13 percent.

He was charged with felony aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law, among several other charges. He was released to appear back in court later this month.

The child was released to the custody of a relative.
