A man turned himself in following a warrant being issued for his arrest.

On Thursday October 11, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a call reporting criminal mischief at the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union on South Road in Poughkeepsie.

The bank manager reported that there was extensive damage done to the ATM machine during the overnight hours while the business was closed.

As a result of the investigation, police identified Ryan A. Weatherwax, 19, of Wappingers as the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued for his arrest for Criminal Mischief third-degree (Felony).

On November 14, 2018, Weatherwax turned himself in at the police station. He waws arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and was released on his own recognizance.

Weatherwax is schedule to return to court at a later date.
