Medical Marijuana Delivery Service Expands to Parts of the Hudson Valley
With the state of New York recently expanding it's coverage for medical marijuana, as well increased talks over the legalization of recreational use, companies are racing to corner the market.
Now home medical marijuana delivery is coming for some of the growing pool of eligible patients within the state. LoHud is reporting that a Newburgh based company called Curaleaf will offer home delivery for patients in Dutchess, Ulster, Putnam, Westchester, and Rockland Counties.
It will be as simple as setting up a debit account through an app, and then ordering your delivery online.
LoHud says that are currently over 77,00 eligible patients who are certified to use medical marijuana in New York state. That's a huge increase since it's early days.
Curaleaf owns cannabis related businesses in different twelve states. LoHud says there is no word when the home deliveries will start. Curaleaf will be competing with an ever expanding field of cannabis companies across the region. Competition is sure to become quite fierce.
