One movie comes out this weekend that may make a bump in the movie world, not because of the story, but because of who is in it...Johnny Depp. The movie is Transcendence, directed  by Wally Pfister. Those of you who know film will know him as the long-time Director of Photography for Christopher Nolan (the guy who did Batman). This movie looks like it was spoiled by the previews. Nothing seems to be hidden, we know what happens, but it's Johnny Depp, so we'll go see it, right? Maybe.

In the end, this is a Sci-Fi movie, which, in my experience doesn't usually do well in the box office. Depp's character becomes an A.I. who tries to take over everything after he dies and gets put into a computer system.

We'll see what happens in the theaters this weekend, maybe the Captain will be on top again, or maybe because of the holiday weekend Rio 2 will be on top...but I'm going with 'Murica again this week. Will you? Check out the trailer below.

Another thing I wanted to mention was the idea of a Mrs. Doubtfire 2. I have no idea why they would think to do this so many years later. It's one of those things where you think for a second and think that it would be a great idea, then think for a few more seconds and realize that this is a horrible idea and it only kinda of works because you really want it to. Check out the story about this sequel in a recent post right here.

So, until next week, we'll MEAT at the movies!
