The suspect fled the scene, driving the victim's vehicle.

On Wednesday, at approximately 2:36 p.m. the City of Middletown Police received a call reporting a motor vehicle accident in the area of 37 Heidt Avenue. Upon arrival, officer found a 19-year old male lying on a snow bank in front of 13 Heidt Avenue, suffering from three separate stab wounds.

The victim was bleeding profusely, and Middletown police officers provided life-saving emergency medical care and arranged for transport of the victim to Orange Regional Medical Center via Mobile Life Support Ambulance.

The victim was treated and underwent surgery for his wounds, and is currently listed in stable condition. His identity is being withheld at this time.

Police believe that the victim made an arrangement via a social media app to conduct a sale of THC oil. The victim and suspect met on Adams Avenue in the City of Middletown.

The suspect entered the victim's vehicle, and at some point the THC oil was exchanged with the suspect. The suspect then reportedly stated that he did not have any money to purchase the product, and produced a knife with which he proceeded to stab the victim in the head, chest, and shoulder, as the victim was operating his vehicle on Heidt Avenue.

This caused the victim to lose control of the vehicle, striking shrubs and other landscaping. The victim eventually fled the vehicle. The suspect took over control of the vehicle and fled the area.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, unknown age, who was last seen wearing a blue jacket with a hood on it. There is no further description available at this time.

The victim's vehicle was found a short time later unoccupied and abandoned in the area of Maple Drive in the City of Middletown.

The search for the suspect is ongoing.
