New York State Police Need Your Vote to Put Their New Mustang on Top
The New York State Police are hoping their newest patrol car can bring home more than just speeding tickets.
Earlier this year, we learned that the New York State Police began adding new Mustang GT patrol cars to its fleet. The agency added 19 Mustangs in total, giving troopers another tool designed for speed, performance, and maneuverability.
Now, the State Police are hoping the new ride can bring home a trophy.
New York State Police Car Best in the Nation?
The agency has officially entered its brand-new Ford Mustang patrol vehicle into the American Association of State Troopers' 13th Annual America's Best Looking Cruiser Contest, and they're asking all of us New Yorkers to help put the Empire State on top.

In a post on social media, the New York State Police unveiled this year's contest photo, showcasing the department's newest Mustang along with plenty of New York pride. The annual competition features patrol vehicles from state police and highway patrol agencies across the country, with the public deciding which cruiser looks the best.
The stakes are more than just bragging rights.

How to Vote
The 13 states receiving the most votes will earn a spot in the 2027 America's Best Looking Cruiser calendar, while the first-place winner will land on the coveted cover. Calendar sales also help fund scholarships for the children of state troopers through the American Association of State Troopers Foundation.
