Hudson Valley Residents Featured on Cheerios Box

The next time you pick up a box of Cheerios you may see a familiar face.

A special-edition box of Cheerios was unveiled this month featuring the likenesses of Dawn Doughty-Myers of Poughkeepsie and RoseMarie Khuns of Wappingers Falls. The two ShopRite employees were selected to be on the box because of their local fundraising efforts.

The annual ShopRite Partners in Caring Cheerios Contest recognizes employees that go above and beyond to help their local communities. This year's theme was centered around hunger efforts. The annual WPDH Jam The Van Food Drive in November is just one of the events that the Fishkill ShopRite supports year-round to help out food banks throughout the Hudson Valley. This year $1.3 million was raised by ShopRite employees across the country to help feed their local communities.

General Mills made only 125 thousand special edition Cheerios boxes featuring the Fishkill ShopRite employees, and they are available exclusively at ShopRite stores throughout our area.
